Every pint of Stella Artois in the UK, reported by EBI code

AB InBev · Global brewing — world's largest brewer · Engagements spanning UK and Belgium operations across years

The client

AB InBev is the world’s largest brewer — Stella Artois, Budweiser, Corona and hundreds more. At that scale, knowing exactly what shipped where, when, isn’t a reporting nicety; it drives decisions on pricing, location strategy and seasonal planning across markets.

What EBI built

Every hectolitre of Stella Artois delivered and sold in the UK passed through applications and reporting code written by EBI’s data engineers — and the work reached well beyond the UK, into InBev’s Belgium-based European operations, putting EBI code behind the reporting of AB InBev beer across Europe. That shipping and sales data fed AB InBev’s Global Reporting Suite — the layer their decision-makers actually look at when weighing market influences like location, pricing and seasonal trends.

Engineering trusted across borders, in engagements spanning years — from a time before “data engineering” was even a job title.

Why it matters if you’re reading this

When a multinational lets an outside team write the code its global reporting depends on, that’s not a vendor relationship — it’s trust earned through delivery. It’s also the backbone story of EBI: unglamorous, essential systems that simply keep working.
